About the Vision of Angels
To provide the youth of Greater Cleveland the opportunity to explore and discover their highest potential through education, recreation and community outreach.
The Vision of Angels Youth Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that was established in 2009 by a gentleman named Sears Mitchell, a completely blind individual who had a vision of change for the city of Cleveland. He started the organization with a group of friends which blossomed into the productive and sustainable organization it is today. Over the past six years the Vision Of Angels Youth Foundation has been able to accommodate and support over 200 children from and around the Cleveland area. We have a dedicated team and the necessary experience to make a difference in any community..
Compared to youth across the nation and throughout the state of Ohio, the children living in or around the Cleveland area, on average are amongst the poorest outcome in school achievement and graduation rates, highest risk of pregnancy, highest unemployment rate, and highest rate of youth committed crimes. The primary goal of the Vision of Angels Youth Foundation is to make a significant impact in Greater Cleveland in these respective areas. Over the past six years the children that have been involved in our programs have shown significant strides of improvement in each of these statistical categories. This was achieved through offering arts and cultural, recreational and community outreach programs which were designed to improve their physical, social and artistic development.
